Get registered with the state of Hawaii, and also get enrolled with the Democratic Party of Hawaii.
We believe the right to vote is a cornerstone of our democracy, but we also believe in listening to our science and medical experts. After consultation, we have instituted the following changes to the Hawaii Democratic Party Run Primary:
In person voting scheduled for April 4 is CANCELED.
All ENROLLED party members may vote by mail. In addition to being a registered voter with the State, you MUST ALSO BE ENROLLED with the Democratic Party of Hawaii.
We have extended the enrollment period until April 4. If you have not received a ballot and would like one, please go to the home page of AlohaVote.com to enroll. A ballot will be sent to you in late April. When you receive it, please return it promptly. Ballots will be counted in mid-May. The exact date will be announced shortly.
Due to the Covid-19 impact, Democratic Party Headquarters is closed. The ONLY way to enroll is at AlohaVote.com.
While we regret the cancellation of in-person voting, the current crisis afforded no other choice. The voting center locations were no longer available to us, and the Democratic National Committee is recommending all states move to vote by mail only. By extending the deadline to enroll and vote by mail, we are committing to enfranchise as many as possible. If you have received a ballot already, please vote. If you have not, please enroll now.
